I'm a lover of many things.  I love my family, my chosen family of friends, I love a good bacon cheeseburger, the perfect hot cocoa, I love a great cocktail on a hot summer night, I love meeting new people and I love to LAUGH!  But the thing that I love most, and what makes me most excited is when I am behind my camera.  I love all things photography.

I had humble beginnings as a photographer, it was until a good friend of mine put a camera in my hands for a day of shooting.  I had no idea what I was doing. Then after some instruction and experimenting, I knew I was in love.  I later purchased my own camera and from there I was out of control.  I took pictures of everything.  But what I discovered was that I really loved taking pictures of people.  I took a few senior photos for friends and from there Photos By Drucille was created.

I completed the Certificate of Photography program at the University of Washington in 2015.  After taking this course I was able to gain more knowledge about the photography industry as well as fine tuning and learning more skills.   In 2017 I was asked back by the professor to be a teachers assistant for the same class.  Being asked back to help students like myself was an honor and a confidence booster.

The best part about this journey is the people that I get to meet along the way.  Whether it be an old friend, or a new client we always have a good time.   Sometimes the hardest part of being in front of the camera is being comfortable having your picture taken.  I feel that if person who is in front of my lens sees that I am confident behind the lens, then together we create beautiful images.
